Wi-Fi bulbs are simplest and cheapest to start; a hub-based system like Hue scales better if you plan dozens of bulbs and accessories. For a few lamps, no-hub Wi-Fi bulbs are perfect.
Will smart bulbs work with Alexa and Google Home?
